Dr. Lesnick was raised in Wellington, Florida. He completed his undergraduate studies in Biology and Psychology at the University of Florida. He then went to Florida State University College of Medicine where he discovered his passion for Emergency Medicine. After medical school he matched into the University of Texas at Houston Emergency Medicine Residency at McGovern Medical School. While in residency, Dr. Lesnick was awarded the Michael Wainscott, MD Legacy Award by the Texas College of Emergency Physicians and the Best Abstract Award from the American Heart Association’s Resuscitation Science Symposium. He also earned the Clerkship Directors in Emergency Medicine Award for Residents as a Teacher and the Best Senior Grand Rounds Award.

He was chosen as a Chief Resident and graduated in 2020. He then spent the next two years working full time in the community in Houston. Due to his love for teaching, he also continued working part time academically at UT Houston. He became a TCEP Councilor and voting member of the ACEP council while being co-chair of the TCEP Leadership and Advocacy Fellowship.

Professionally, Dr. Lesnick is passionate about education, leadership, advocacy, mentorship, research, financial literacy for physicians, and administration.

Outside of work Jason loves spending time with his wife, family, friends, and two cats. His hobbies include reading, exercising, traveling, and cheering on his Florida Gators.
