Dr. Pauw grew up in Louisville and bounced back and forth between Kentucky and Tennessee for her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at Vanderbilt, medical school at the University of Kentucky, and Emergency Medicine residency here at Vanderbilt. She completed residency in 2023 as a Chief Resident and recipient of the Outstanding Resident Educator, Outstanding Resident Proceduralist, and Resident Researcher awards. She is currently completing a fellowship in Simulation at Vanderbilt with a passion for developing procedural models and non-traditional resident education. She is a member of the SAEM Simulation Executive Board and active participant in the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. In her free time, she travels the world with her husband and fellow ER doctor, Sunny, and their beloved Shih-Tzu, Max.
