Amber joins us for a fellowship in sports medicine after practicing in the Salt Lake City area for the last ten years with Utah Emergency Physicians/Intermountain Heath. She completed her emergency medicine residency at Washington University in St. Louis, then stayed on as faculty for two years while making frequent trips to Yosemite National Park to work at the medical clinic and with YOSAR. She now calls the mountain west home, but has decided Nashville is a great place to live and play. She is passionate about the outdoors, particularly all forms of skiing (including frequently roller skiing the Cumberland River trail) and mountain biking, in addition to canyoneering, climbing and fly fishing. She is also professional ski instructor and plans on taking over directorship of the local ski school next season in Ogden Valley, Utah (more Park, less City) and providing physician support for US Ski and Snowboard. She also hopes to find or create a job that combines both emergency medicine and her new career path in sports medicine.
