Why did you choose VUMC Emergency Medicine?

I was initially drawn to this program for its high acuity, excellent didactics, and great collegiality amongst attendings and residents (to name the least). During my interview, I loved all my interactions with faculty and residents and knew from there that I wanted to join the Vandy fam!

What are your interests within Emergency Medicine?

Medical education, Simulation, Ultrasound

What would you be doing if you weren't doing Emergency Medicine?

I learned to scuba dive in Puerto Rico and it was one of my favorite memories. If I wasn't doing EM, I could see myself becoming a diving instructor

What's your 5-year plan?

Finishing residency and pursuing a role in med student and resident education. Also, getting a dog!

What's a random fact about you?

I grew up as a military brat and lived in many places including Japan
