Why did you choose VUMC Emergency Medicine?
Having been at Vanderbilt already, I could see firsthand how close the residents are, how supportive the leadership is, and how every person treats patients and peers with great respect. When it came time to apply, it was hard to imagine any other program could be as tightly-knit as VUMC EM, so it was a no-brainer!
What are your interests within Emergency Medicine?
Research, Social EM, Leadership, & Operations
What would you be doing if you weren't doing Emergency Medicine?
If I wasn't an Emergency Medicine Physician, I would be a zookeeper. I used to work summers at a zoo and love learning about animals.
What's your 5-year plan?
In five years, I plan to be in academic emergency medicine, striking a balance between clinical work, research, and operations. With an interest in Social EM, I hope to identify ways to improve patient care and resource utilization across socioeconomic statuses.
What's a random fact about you?
I won a free year of chicken wings from Buffalo Wild Wings through a radio contest.
