At Vanderbilt Emergency Medicine we do not settle for the status quo. We are always pushing to move forward, and to equip our residents to do the same. In addition to forming first-class clinicians through innovative didactic, clinical, and experiential learning, our residency program also seeks to create the future leaders of our field. Evolution MD is one of the unique ways we strive to accomplish this.
EVOLVING AS FAMILY
Through Evolution MD residents have the ability to attend bi-monthly meetings with our world class Emergency Medicine faculty. While remaining casual--with a family gathering feel--the meetings offer dedicated time to discuss topics that are essential to growing holistically as an Emergency Medicine Leader and physician.
THE IMPORTANT THINGS
Through keynote speeches and small group discussions we cover an array of topics: everything from making mistakes in medicine, pursuing your passion, and medical malpractice--to managing work-life balance, student loans, and combatting burnout. Evolution MD gives us a dedicated opportunity to discuss the important things that can be overlooked in normal residency training--but we believe they are essential to developing well-rounded, physician-leaders.
