Dr. Olushoga was originally born in Chicago, Illinois but grew up in Lagos, Nigeria. He emigrated back to the US in 2004 where his family settled in Houston, Texas. He earned an undergraduate degree from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN and completed medical school at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He is a graduate of The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Emergency Medicine residency program. As a 1st generation Nigerian American, one of Michael’s passions is diversity and inclusion in medicine, an initiative he plans on spearheading here in Nashville, TN. On his off days Michael enjoys cooking, hiking, collecting sneakers, and watching sports.
