Dr. Meri Johnson attended Brigham Young University for her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and the University of Utah for medical school. She completed her Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Michigan in 2015. Following residency she moved to Nashville where she initially worked in local community emergency departments. She quickly realized that she missed the energy and excitement of teaching medical students and residents, so she joined the Vanderbilt Emergency Medicine Faculty. She is involved in teaching at the Vanderbilt School of Medicine. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and son. Her favorite activities are traveling, going for family walks, and watching hockey.
