I am originally from North Carolina, where I completed medical school at East Carolina University, where I was inducted as a member of AOA Honor Medical Society. After finishing residency at Vanderbilt, I continued with Vanderbilt for fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. My clinical interest is the integration of palliative medicine principles with emergency medicine to improve patient care and outcomes and empowering providers to provide primary palliative care. Outside of work, I enjoy gardening and caring for houseplants, watching and attending sports events, and spending time with my partner, Sam, and our two goofy dogs.
