Dr. Jonathan Brewer is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Advanced Emergency Ultrasound at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Originally from Nashville, TN, he attended college and medical school at Texas A&M University. He then completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX; where he also served as the Academic Chief Resident. He finalized his education at Vanderbilt University Medical Center with a fellowship in Advanced Emergency Ultrasound. Jonathan is extremely passionate about the use of advanced procedural ultrasound for the treatment of acute pain in the emergency department along with underserved care and medical education. He has undergone extensive training in the field of regional anesthesia and is working on implementing this into emergency departments around the country. In his free time though, you’ll find him relaxing with his wife, staying active outdoors, cooking Texas barbecue, or hanging out with friends.
