Dr. Henning is a Tennessee native. She received her B.S. from Mississippi State University, then attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She completed her emergency medicine training at Northwestern University in Chicago where she served as chief resident. She works part-time in the adult emergency department. She serves on the Clinical Competency Committee, Wellness Committee and is active with Women in Academic Emergency Medicine (WAM!) helping to coordinate activities to unite the women in our program. She and her husband Chris have two boys, James and John. She enjoys birding, sailing, biking, reading and gardening. She is on a tireless pursuit to find balance in life, work, play and endless projects maintaining a 1920 craftsman bungalow.
