Dr. Sanford was born and raised in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI. He attended medical school at Wayne State University and completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit, MI. He is currently a Clinical Fellow in Addiction Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His interests include providing compassionate, evidence-based care to patients with substance use disorder in the Emergency Department and working to improve access to continued addiction treatment. In his free time, he enjoys playing the guitar, bass, and piano, going to concerts, and exploring the Nashville food scene.
