Why did you choose VUMC Emergency Medicine?
I chose Vanderbilt to learn emergency medicine from renowned leaders our field, the opportunity to serve a diverse patient population, and because of the sense of family atmosphere I felt from all levels of the department. I was inspired by the strong female leadership and felt a personal connection to everyone I met during my interview process.

Social emergency medicine, health care reform
What would you be doing if you weren't doing Emergency Medicine?
Living on a sailboat in the Florida Keys with my fiance, Michael, and our cat, Queso.
What's your 5-year plan?
Still working on the specifics of this one, but hopefully working to make a difference in other people's lives while enjoying my own.
What's a random fact about you?
Before moving to Nashville, I had never lived more than 10 minutes away from the beach.
