Why did you choose VUMC Emergency Medicine?
I remember just feeling so happy after my interview! I felt like the people I talked to were all genuinely kind and seemed to share similar values with me. I knew right away that they were who I wanted to work with and learn from. I also was impressed by Vanderbilt EM's continued presence in Guyana since I have an interest in global EM. And Nashville is a lot closer to my family, which is a huge bonus!
What are your interests within Emergency Medicine?
Global EM, ultrasound, compassionate patient care
What would you be doing if you weren't doing Emergency Medicine?
I always thought it would be cool to play piano at a fancy restaurant.
What's your 5-year plan?
Not completely sure yet, but I'm interested in doing a fellowship in either ultrasound, global EM, or a combination of the two. I definitely want to continue working in the ED and hopefully find my dream job!!
What's a random fact about you?
I spent several months at a leper colony in China during undergrad.
