Why did you choose VUMC Emergency Medicine?

I walked into the dinner and felt like I was home. All the people I was talking to were excited about their training, their friendships with each other and enjoying Nashville. The next day the interview met and exceeded my expectations, and I'm so excited to be a part of VUMC EM!

What are your interests within Emergency Medicine?

Toxicology or Medical Education

What would you be doing if you weren't doing Emergency Medicine?

I chose EM because I liked too many specialties but couldn't focus long enough on one. I thought about OB Gyn and Surgery for quite a while, but EM was where I was happiest. Most likely I'd be running a cafe somewhere with a view of the mountains.

What's your 5-year plan?

In five years I'd like to be done with fellowship and working at an academic center.

What's a random fact about you?

I once had to get stitches because of a hermit crab.
