Hiking and camping with a lifetime goal to get to all the National Parks!, biking, cooking, Spikeball, hanging out with my friends and family, playing with my dog, Gouda (yes, like the cheese!)

Why did you choose VUMC  Emergency Medicine?

I knew that Vandy EM would give me the best training for my future career in EM and Sports Medicine because it has the resources, teaching, and ability to get you whatever experiences you need. Even more importantly, It felt like a family when I interviewed here and I could tell that the residents enjoyed being around each other outside of work!

What are your interests within Emergency Medicine?

Sports Medicine, Event Coverage, Limited Resource Medicine, Teaching, Personal Finance for Doctors

What would you be doing if you weren't doing Emergency Medicine?

I would be a chef with a homesteading restaurant and animal sanctuary! (still may happen in the future)

What's your 5-year plan?

Finish Sports Medicine Fellowship, find a great job in a location with access to the outdoors, be the head team physician for a large college or professional team, get to 10 more national parks, stay in touch with my close friends, probably get some more dogs and bikes along the way.

What's a random fact about you?

I worked at a funeral home while I was pre-med student because I thought I would learn anatomy... I technically did learn anatomy but also so much more!
