Why did you choose VUMC Emergency Medicine?
It’s a very busy, high acuity, academic ED that I hope will prepare me for any future practice environment. Very dedicated resident educators with dynamic case conferences, procedure/simulation labs, and EvolutionMD. Excellent reputation in EM research and a plethora of potential mentors.
What are your interests within Emergency Medicine?
Neurologic Emergencies, Post-cardiac arrest care, the Neuro-vascular Unit, and Toxicology
What would you be doing if you weren't doing Emergency Medicine?
Athletic Trainer with a professional sports team
What's your 5-year plan?
Learn a lot of Emergency Medicine, pursue a fellowship in either Critical Care or Toxicology, and continue developing a research portfolio

My first pet was a tarantula that is now 20(!) years old
