Clifford Freeman, MD

Instructor of Emergency Medicine

Dr. Freeman graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Kentucky before attending the University of Louisville School of Medicine where he graduated Cum Laude, a member of AOA, and a member of the Gold Humanism Society. He completed his residency at Vanderbilt and is now serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Freeman is married to his wife, Shaylon, and they have 2 boys, LJ and Thomas. He enjoys St. Louis Cardinals baseball, UK basketball and playing fetch with his dogs, Zoey and Ramsey. His career interests include: EMS, Clinical Operations, and Resident Development. 

Kathryn M. Ritter, MD

Instructor of Emergency Medicine

Dr. Kathryn Ritter is originally from Mukwonago, Wisconsin. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota, where she ran track and cross-country for the Golden Gophers. She graduated with AOA honors from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health before moving to Nashville for her residency in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Ritter's main area of professional interest is medical education, and she is looking forward to teaching both residents and medical students as a Chief Resident. On her time off, she enjoys running, soccer, and fitness classes.
