Candace McNaughton, MD, MPH

Assistant Professor 

Dr. McNaughton attended Brigham Young University (Microbiology) for undergrad and Washington University in St. Louis for medical school. She completed residency at Vanderbilt in emergency medicine in 2010, going on to complete the National VA Quality Scholar fellowship and Masters of Public Health from Vanderbilt in 2012. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in epidemiology and is a fellow in the Vanderbilt Emergency Medicine Research K12 Training Program.

Dr. McNaughton's research is focused on identifying and addressing determinants of cardiovascular health among patients who seek ED care. Her ongoing research addresses hypertension and antihypertensive medication adherence, particularly among patients who seek ED care for hypertension-related complaints.
