March 2011We are all anticipating an excellent match as the countdown moves into its final 10 days. Once our new PGY-1 residents are selected, we will post who they are and their medical school affiliations. I am delighted to announce that Sean Collins, M.D. will be joining us on July 1st. Dr. Collins is a federally funded, K awardee, heart failure investigator who is well known to a number of us. He is currently at the University of Cincinnati and has been collaborating in heart failure research with Allan Storrow here at Vanderbilt. Dr. Collins is also an award winning educator. He will also be rejoining Jin Han, Kurt Smith and Jason Thurman, all of whom have either trained with him or been one of his residents.
