Background

Dr. McNaughton is currently a fellow in the VA Quality Scholar program and is working on her MPH. Her academic interests are varied, but include patient literacy and numeracy, ED efficiency, heart failure, critical care, and sedation. Before graduating from the Emergency Medicine program here at Vanderbilt, she attended medical school at Washington University in St. Louis. Her undergraduate degree in microbiology is from BYU. She was also a blood banker in a prior life.
She has two very active children who keep life exciting. She wishes she was technologically savvy enough to add cool music to her page, and she refuses to run to stave off her inevitable decline because she'd like to enjoy whatever remaining time she has.
